Activists demand promotion of human rights

INTERVIEW:
Last Friday, the Civil Society Coalition on Human Rights & Constitutional Law (CSCHRCL) received the prestigious Human Rights Defenders Award 2011 from the US State Department. In presenting the award, US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, praised the coalition for its structure, diversity, leadership, activism, use of the judiciary, and cohesion.
Ms Clare Byarugaba, a human rights defender, spoke to Daily Monitor’s Joyce Mirembe.
