STOP THECALL MINISTRIES FROM FUELING HOMOPHOBIA IN UGANDA THROUGH THEIR MAY 2, 2010, CRUSADE 22.04.2010
Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG) condemns Lou Engle's upcoming crusade scheduled for May 2, 2010. The crusade could cause incalculable damage, as it is designed to label homosexuality as a vice in Uganda and to incite people to fight against this vice in society. In the context of an already inflamed extremist religious movement against homosexuality in Uganda sparked off by American evangelicals, the inflammatory preaching of Lou Engle and his associates is likely to incite further violence against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) people in Uganda.

Anyone who thinks apartheid was purely a race issue needs to rethink things; as yet another example of its patriarchal, supremacist policies has surfaced. Dr Aubrey Levin, the man known to his colleagues as Dr Shock has ushered, not only his own horrific history into the spotlight, but that of the Aversion Project and other examples of torture and mutilation inflicted on people to force them to conform, to be heterosexual and to be, in the arrogant eyes of the regime, the "right" gender.
On March 11, Martin Ssempa was a guest on Michael Brown's radio show, Line of Fire. I was invited to join in but I was teaching at the time the show aired. The program is online here. Brown said several times that he invited critics of the bill to come on the show or call in. No one else who has criticized the bill could or would go on so the entire program consisted of Ssempa telling his side of the issue.
